Isidora
View original language description ↓
Isidora is 69 years old. Since her husband died 18 years ago she has struggled to care for herself. Sadly, she never had a chance to bear children, though she has raised various godchildren in her care. Born to a poor family, Isidora has worked from a young age to support herself and her family. She emigrated to Argentina in search of work, sending back money to repay the loan she took out to finance the trip. Four years ago she returned to Paraguay and with the money she had saved up she set up a small shop in her home. In addition to tending the store, she also raises cattle and hogs. Isidora hopes to use this loan to purchase inventory for her store so she can increase her sales and support herself, now that she is too old to travel abroad in search of work.
