Mujeres Emprendedoras Group
In this Group: Andrea Ivania , Josefa Dolores , Isadora Del Socorro
The group " Mujeres Emprendedoras" (Hardworking Women) is comprised of (forgive the repetition) 3 working women, who are enterprising and share a vision. One of these is Andrea Ivania A., who is 29 years old and has been selling spices along with her husband since 1999. Spices have been in great demand since ancient times for their medical and culinary uses. The spices they sell include: cinnamon, cloves, pepper, curry, coriander, oregano, basil, bay leaf, saffron, anise, chives, mint, lemon grass, bay leaf, ginger, mint, mustard, paprika, parsley, aloe vera, rosemary, thyme and vanilla. What Andrea most desires is to have a stand in the market so that she can stop selling in the streets because it is dangerous. The other members are Josefa Dolores R. L., who is 47 years old and sells fruits such as: oranges, mandarin oranges, watermelons, melons, mangos and plums among others, and Isadora del Socorro L. who is 27 years old and sells spices.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
