7 ½ years ago, América Cabrera Garcia started cooking and selling hamburgers in Ayacucho, Peru, to supplement her husband’s income and help support their 3 children. She cherishes the opportunity for conversation with friends at her weekly meetings, as well as the health, social, and economic lessons that are incorporated into each.

With the seed money loaned to her, América was able to expand her business, and began also selling beverages. A few years ago her husband joined her to help with the expanding business. Yola Entrepreneur: Yola América Cabrera García Location: Ayacucho, Peru Yola se inició ya que su esposo le sacaron de su trabajo en la época de la privatización después de haber laborado 22 años interrumpidos y para tener éxito fue la constancia perseverancia junto con mi esposo y mis hijos que me apoyaron constantemente hasta la fecha. Yola tiene la satisfacción de que con el negocio de las hamburguesas ha logrado construirsu casita de 3 pisos además el negocio le ha servido para manutención de la casa, la educación de mis hijos incluso la de mi esposo y nieto. Los planes casi inmediatos es aperturar una sucursal en la misma ciudad de Ayacucho y otra en la ciudad de Huanta.
