Mrs. Long Pork is a weaver. Since her business is doing well, she wants to expand it by purchasing more raw materials. Her husband, Mr. Pork Saroeun, is a motorbike taxi driver. This couple has four children: two are weavers, one is employed in a garment factory, and the last one is attending the local school.

Mrs. Long Pork is the village bank president. This village bank consists of 20 people located in Trapeang Veaeng village in Takeo province. The members will use their loans for different purposes. Ten members of this group loan have end-of-term (EoT) loans and the rest have monthly payment loans. Those with EoT loans are not required to pay any principal on the loan until the very end of the loan term. EoT loans are AMK’s main product because they are the most beneficial to Cambodia’s poor. EoT loans allow them to repay portions of the principal whenever they are financially able. Most clients start to make their payments many months before the end of the loan term. Almost all of AMK’s clients make their payments on time. AMK has a delinquency rate of only 0.09% and a default rate of 0% on Kiva.
