Maria Pedro Nhantumbo is a native of Xai-xai in the province of Gaza. She is 44 years old, is married and the mother of four children aged 28, 24, 22 and 14 years. The two youngest go to school. Her husband works in RSA (Republic of South Africa) and, from time to time, sends money to help support the family. Maria finished fourth grade and stopped studying when she set up her own household. She lives in her own house and, apart from her children, is not responsible for supporting anyone.

She left Xai-xai 29 years ago, after her marriage. Due to some difficulties that she encountered, she chose to begin her own business more than 24 years ago. She sells mostly capulanas (lengths of brightly-coloured cloth used as skirts, wraps, headdresses, etc.) which she buys for 620 MT apiece and sells for 800 MT. At the end of every month this brings in approximately 8,000 MT, from which she manages to put some aside in one of the commercial banks of Mozambique (Millenium Bim).

She has already had business loans from the micro Bank Tchuma. She stopped raising money there when a neighbour advised her that Hluvuku offered better opportunities in credit limits.

This is her second loan with Hluvuku-Adsema in the amount of 10,000 MT for purchasing more capulanas to increase the volume of her business. The last loan was for the same amount and purpose.

She intends to repay the loan without any problem, in order to be able to access more loans to improve and construct a conventional business establishment to satisfy her customers and bring in more money.

Maria Pedro Nhantumbo é natural de Xai- xai província de Gaza tem 44 anos de idade, casada e mãe de 4 filhos com 28, 24, 22 e 14 anos de idade. Os dois mais novos vão a escola. O seu marido trabalha na RSA (Republica da Africa do Sul) e, de vez enquanto, manda dinheiro para ajudar no sustento da família. Ela fez quarta classe parou de estudar quando foi ao lar. Vive na casa própria e para alem dos filhos não sustenta mais ninguém.

Saiu de Xai xai a 29 anos atrás após o seu casamento. Devido a algumas dificuldades que ela passava, optou por iniciar um negocio próprio a mais de 24 anos. Vende mais capulanas que compra por 620.00mt a peça e vende a 800.00mt. No final de cada mes rende aprox. 8.000.00mt com o qual consegue poupar algum num dos Bancos comercias de Moçambique (Millenium Bim).

Já teve empréstimos no micro Banco Tchuma para comércio. Parou de levantar lá quando a vizinha aconselhou que a Hluvuku oferecia melhores oportunidades em termos de crédito.

Este é seu segundo empréstimo na Hluvuku-Adsema no valor de 10.000.00mt para comprar mais peças de capulanas para aumentar o volume negocio. O empréstimo passado foi também do mesmo valor e finalidade.

Propor se a pagar o empréstimo sem problemas para poder aceder a mais créditos para melhorar/ construir um estabelecimento convencional, para satisfazer a sua clientela e render mais dinheiro.
