Alice is thirty-five years old. She is married and has given birth to four children, all in school. She lives with her husband and children in a rented apartment in a town called Dormaa, in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Dormaa is a commercial and farming town. Alice is a trader who runs a cold store. She buys fresh fish from big cold stores in Kumasi, and sells the fish in her shop by the roadside in her community. Alice has been in business for three years, and would like to use this loan to buy goods in bulk.
