Doris is thirty – two years old. She is married and has given birth to three children, all in school. She lives with her husband and children in a rented apartment in a town called Dormaa in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Dormaa is a commercial and farming town. She is a food vendor. She prepares and sells kenkey with pepper and fried fish. She buys bags of maize from nearby towns. Doris has been in business for ten years and wants a loan to buy bags of maize and other ingredients in bulk.
