They all work at home or as street vendors. As far as competition goes, there are competitors in the neighborhood. But, the members have their constant, loyal customers. They generate enough business to survive. In case it is not going very well in the neighborhood, they go to another place to sell their products or diversify their economic activity so that they can get their daily income and get more income.

The loan is to stock their stores, buy work materials, and buy wholesale supplies. Those who sell cosmetics are taking advantage of offers to improve their earnings. Their expectation is to have more income in order to become more economically independent. As far as their experience in communal banks goes, they do have experience even though this is their first cycle with Agrocapital. They know how to administer the given funds. Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
