Rodney started his sheet metal business, C. Sheet Metal, in 2007 after having worked with his uncle for ten years in the same industry.
In a short period of time, Rodney grew his business into a successful enterprise. He considers himself a fighter; he has acquired numerous contracts and has expanded his business despite the downturn in the economy. Today, he needs $10,000 to finance more growth and to purchase inventory.
In the future, Rodney hopes to keep his business growing, with the goal of hiring others to create jobs in his community. After being denied at his bank for a line of credit because of his credit score, he is relieved to know that there are organizations out there that trust his abilities and are willing to give him a chance.
Kiva realizes that access to credit is a challenge for entrepreneurs everywhere. Kiva started out as a website focused on developing-world entrepreneurs. In June 2009, Kiva began experimenting with allowing entrepreneurs in the United States to raise money on its website. If this is something you support, please feel free to fund this loan.
