Justine
Justine wants to use this loan to buy bunches of bananas. She receives 20 customers a day and works seven days a week. She doesn’t incur any transport costs as she buys in the community where she works. The major challenge she faces in her business is seasonal supply.

Justine is a 38 year single woman with three children between the ages of 10 and 18 years old. Justine doesn’t take care of any additional family members. She lives and works in a semi-urban area on the outskirts of Kampala. All her children go to school. Justine rents a two room house where she lives with four people. There is no electricity or piped water in her home. The family gets three meals a day.

Justine has with MCDT for five years, now on her fourteenth loan working with the same group mates. Justine hopes to see her business grow bigger and own a permanent business structure.
