Vey N., 25, is married and resides in Kompong Cham Province. She lives with her husband and her young child in a way simple way of life. To make a living, she is engaged in the business of selling gasoline in front of her house in the village, earning an approximate income of US $5 per day. The family is supported financially primarily by her husband, who operates as a taxi driver using his own car. He provides a taxi service from the province to the city, earning an income of US $15 per day. These businesses have made the family’s standard of living much better. Therefore, she is asking for a loan of US $1000 to purchase various kinds of groceries to start a new business. By doing so, she hopes she will be able to raise the good standard of living for her family.
