A loan of $725 helps to buy stock of shoes and materials to resell to customers.

Regina's story

She is married with 6 children (one under the age of 15) living in a 3-room house. She has gone through so many obstacles in her life that she would love to forget, including the death of her father and her dear brother, as well as the accident of her son and ill health of her mother.

She joined GHAPE in 2013 and has been a member for four years. She has successfully taken and repaid the empowerment credit four times. With this loan, she will be able to rent a bigger spot to store and sell her shoes and materials.

She thinks her business will succeed because she has been in her business awhile and has a good business site and potential for customers. The profit from her business will be used to increase her business and help her children have a better life with limited ill health (or use for unforeseen circumstances). She prefers taking a loan from GHAPE due to their low interest rate, easy repayment and advice on business tactics as well as adequate disbursement of empowerment credit.

This loan is special because:

It is coupled with multi-faceted trainings to support the poorest in Cameroon.
