A loan of $725 helps to rent farmland and buy seedlings, fertilizer, piglets, and feed.

Ambe Aaron's story

He is married and is a father of eight children, all living in a six-bedroom apartment in Bafut, North West Region of Cameroon. He has faced some challenges in life such as the death of his immediate family members, sickness, and theft.

He joined GHAPE in 2013 and has taken and successfully repaid three loans.

With this new loan requested, he plans to increase his farmland both in size and content; thus he is expecting high yields in return. Part will be invested in his pig farm by adding more pigs. He has a positive attitude that the activity will succeed because it’s an activity he has been doing for a number of years and he is well-experienced in it. There is always a ready demand for both his farm produce and pigs.

He says his activity will help the community since he employs a number of people to work on his farms, and he will reduce their distance from going to far-off markets.

With the profit to be gotten from the loan, he will plough back some into his activity, pay school fees, and improve the general wellbeing of the entire family.

He prefers getting a loan from GHAPE because the repayment schedule is moderate, interest rates are low, and because of the business knowledge he gets before receiving loans.

This loan is special because:

It is coupled with multi-faceted trainings to support the poorest in Cameroon.
