A loan of $275 helps to pay for a new bike, helmet, work clothes, shoes, etc.

Christopher's story

He is married and the father of three children, with whom he lives in a two-bedroom apartment in Bali, North West Region of Cameroon. He has faced some challenges in life such as death of love ones and sickness amongst other family problems.

He has been a GHAPE member for one year now and has taken and successfully repaid one loan. With the new loan requested he plans to buy a new bike, helmet, work clothes and shoes.

He has a positive attitude that the business will succeed because it’s an activity he has been doing for a number of years, and there is an ever increasing customer base. He says his activity will help the community in providing cheap and fast transport service as bikes ply every terrain.

With the profit to be gotten from the loan, he will pay for his children’s school and provide basic necessities for the family.

He prefers getting a loan from GHAPE because the repayment schedule is moderate and there are low interest rates, and for the business knowledge he gets before receiving loans.

This loan is special because:

It is coupled with multi-faceted trainings to support the poorest in Cameroon.
