Khan C., age 26, is married and has a young child. She lives with her husband in Battambong Province. To make a living, she is engaged in a business of selling groceries in front of her house in the village, typically earning US $3 per day. Her husband is currently employed in a private company transporting dirt to refill the land, earning an income of US $4 per day. This couple has to work hard everyday to ensure a good living for the family and their child. Therefore, Khan is seeking to increase her income and improve her business. She is asking for a loan of US $600 to purchase a motorbike to transport the goods she buys from the market to sell at her village. By doing so, she believes that she will be able to raise the standard of living for her family.
