Toud P., age 32, is married with four school-aged children. She lives with her husband in Battambong Province. To make a living, she is engaged in a business of selling groceries, typically earning US $6 per day. Her husband is involved in the agriculture sector of growing rice and fruit trees, earning an income of US $5.5 per day. Both of them have to work hard everyday to ensure a good living for their family and her four children. Consequently, she is seeking to increase her income and improve her business. She is asking for a loan of US $1200 to purchase more plots of farmland to grow rice for more output to meet the current market’s requirement. By doing so, she believes that she will be able to raise a good standard of living for her family.
