Edgar David
David is a young man who lives in the town of Juchanep, located eight kilometers (about five miles) from the city of Totonicapn. Four years ago he started his own business making hats and t-shirts, which he primarily sells in Guatemala City and San Francisco el Alto. He has three employees who work in his shop. He needs a loan to buy fabrics, cones and paints in order to add variety to his products and take advantage of the yearend holiday season.

El Joven David es originario de la comunidad de Juchanep a ocho kilometros de la ciudad procer de Totonicapn, el hace cuatro años inicio su propio negocio en la confeccion de playeras, gorras y sus principales puntos de ventas son ciudad de Guatemala y San Francisco el Alto el cuenta con su propio taller con tres operarios hoy necesita de un credito para la compra de telas, conos, pinturas, para surtir su mercaderia para aprovechar la epoca de fin de año.

About Asociación ASDIR

ASDIR (Asociación de Desarrollo Integral Rural - Association for the Development of Rural Communities) is a community-based organization that works to promote development in the villages and communities where it serves. It was founded in 1999 in the village of Nimasac, Totonicapán Department, by a handful of local men and women to support community projects and group loans. Today ASDIR has 5 offices across 3 departments (Totonicapán, Sololá and Suchitepéquez) serving more than 6,000 clients, most of them in rural communities.
