The “Louange Limonade” or “Praise of Limonade” Group is a made of twenty male and female entrepreneurs. They are all excited about expanding their current businesses with the reception of their firS. loan. The group has a variety of businesses from cosmetics to clothes and from seasonal items such as notebooks to ice in both large and small amounts. Nelcia G. is one of four representatives of the group. She is a 36yr old wife and mother to three children.
Nelcia is very in touch with her community and accordingly varies her merchandise with seasons. She has a few staple products that she knows her clients always need, including sugar, flour, rice and oil. With the opening of school she said she will stock up on notebooks and other supplies for children going to school. She hopes to be able to grow her business and create more financial security for her family. On behalf of Nelcia, Louange, and Esperanza we thank you for your support.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
