Ni Ketut Suarti (-) is a 45-year-old female living in the town of Tuwed - Melaya. She is the group leader of an 11-member group loan offered by DINARI. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they all are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults. The official name of this borrowing group is Taman Satwa (DNR.M-0594).

Ni Ketut Suarti is married and has three school-aged children. She owns and operates a business raising pigs for sale. She has been engaged in this business for over eight years and earns approximately 500,000 IDR a month.

In 2009, Ni Ketut Suarti joined DINARI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 1,000,000 IDR from DINARI. This previous loan was used to build shelter for her pigs.

Ni Ketut Suarti is now requesting a new loan of 1,400,000 IDR which will be used to purchase livestock feed and other supplies. The loan will be her first from DINARI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to financially support immediate members of her family.
