Fernando is a member of the Miraculous Maria Village Bank. Fernando is 42 years old. He is married and has two children, ages 19 and 10 years old.
Twenty years ago, Fernando began working at a kiosk where he sold sandwiches. Little by little, he built his current restaurant where he sells chicken. Since joining FINCA a year ago, he has begun selling lunch specials. With the loans for his business, Fernando has increased his business significantly. Before, he sold 10 to 15 dishes; now, he sells 50 lunch specials. Fernando wants to expand his business even more.
Fernando has requested a new loan for 1200 soles to start selling “chifa,” a mix of Chinese and Peruvian food. He is going to invest his loan in a burner, woks, and ladles. Fernando’s dream is to continue to expand his business and open more restaurants.
