Comunidad Unido 7 Group
In this Group: Reyna , Maria, Juana , Angelista, Geilin
Reyna is the group coordintor of Comunidad Unido (United Community) which is based in the slums north of Santo Domingo, an area where running water (none of which is potable) and electricity are unreliable at best. Here she lives alone in a small house maD. of scrap metal which she owns, though she does not have title to her home.

She came to Esperanza because she wants to improve her life and believes that access to credit would help improve her business. She sells jewelry and shoes from her home, and having completed her first loan term successfully, she is now requesting a loan to purchase five rings, five chains and women's shoes to sell. With the profits from this business she plans to pay for her daily living expenses, including food and medicine.

This is very important to her as her business is her only source of income. She is confident that in the future her situation will continue to improve, and she plans to expand her business into a salon which will generate a solid reliable income so that she can remain independent. She thanks all of you for your support.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
