Doris is a 36-year-old single mother who lives with her 8-year-old daughter, her mother, and her youngest sister in the town of Saltur, district of Zaña, located some 30 minutes from the city of Chiclayo.

She owns a small in-home general store, where she sells drinks and candy. This business has yielded great results for her, and she has been able to expand it little by little. This is her family’s sole source of income.
She would like to finish expanding her business by purchasing provisions and personal care products (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.). For this reason, she is requesting her first loan of 500.00 PEN from our institute.

Her greatest wish is to be able to save enough money to give her daughter a good education, as well as offer her mother a better quality of life. Doris is well-known and esteemed by her neighbors, who view her as a responsible woman who cares about her family’s well-being.

Doris tiene 36 años de edad, es madre soltera y vive junto a su hija, de 8 años de edad, su madre y su hermana menor en el centro poblado Saltur, distrto de Zaña, ubicado a 30 minutos de la ciudad de Chiclayo.

Ella es propietaria de una pequeña bodega - tienda en su casa, allí vende golosinas y bebidas, este negocio le está dando buenos resultados y poco a poco lo ha ido ampliando, siendo esta actividad la única fuente de ingreso familiar.

Ella desea terminar de ampliar su negocio con la compra de abarrotes y productos de cuidado personal (jaboncillo, crema dental, cepillos dentales, etc.) por este motivo está solicitando por primera vez a nuestra Institución un crédito de 500 nuevos soles.

Su más grande anhelo es ahorrar el dinero suficiente para asegurarle a su hija una buena educación así como brindarle a su madre una mejor calidad de vida; Doris es muy conocida y estimada por sus vecinos que la toman por una mujer responsable y preocupada por el bienestar de su familia.

Journal Update for Doris Marely Constantino Jimenez Entrepreneur: Doris Marely Constantino Jimenez Location: Saltur - Zaña - Chiclayo, Peru Doris recieved a loan of 500 Soles from Kiva to invest in the purchase of snacks, soft drinks and groceries in order to enlarge her small bodega. It is located in the Caserio Saltur in the disctrict of Saña, 45 minutes outside of the city of Chiclayo. Thanks to her microcredit, Doris already has more products to offer her increasing amount of customers. With the income from her business she purchased a display case to show her products and is thinking about purchasing another that is even larger. Doris is very happy and grateful to the Kiva Lenders. Thanks to them, she has been able to expand her business. --- Doris solicitó un crédito de 500 nuevos soles que pensaba invertir en la compra de golosinas, gaseosas y abarrotes para ampliar su pequeña bodega ubicada en el caserío Saltur, perteneciente al distrito de Saña, ubicado a 45 minutos de la ciudad de Chiclayo. Gracias al préstamo que obtuvo ya tiene más productos que ofrecer por lo que su clientela también ha aumentado, con las ganancias de su negocio ha comprado una vitrina en la que exhibe sus productos y ahora está pensando en comprarse un andamio. Doris se encuentra muy feliz y agradecida con los prestamistas de Kiva porque gracias a ellos pudo impulsar y ampliar su negocio.
