Khady's Group's story

The group, which is a part of a banc villageois, has existed since its inauguration in December 2009. It is comprised of 26 women who live in the same village. They are businesswomen and there is a good social harmony amongst them.

Khady, the featured borrower, is 42 years old and single with no children. She has a small business and capitalizes on her 5 years of experience. In the photo, she is standing on the right with her hand raised. She stocks up on her wares in the large markets and resells them in her locality.

With her loan, she will buy dinner plates, serving plates, and cups to further her business. She has good customer base and, despite competition, she is doing well. With the profits, she will replenish her supply of merchandise, help her parents with their household expenses, and increase her savings.

In this group: Khady, Faty*, Fatou, Magatte, Salla, Arame*, Awa, Astou, Sokhna, Marème, Fatou, Teune, Aïda*, Faty, Codou, Anta*, Khady, Maty, Aminata, Maguette, Ndoumbé, Tislime, Fatou, Khéwé, Tislime Makhtar, Awa
