A loan of $7,675 helps a member to buy flowers in bulk.

Renovacion Claveles Group's story

The communal banking group "Renovación Claveles" or "Renewed Carnations" will begin their 10th loan cycle with Kiva's field partner Pro Mujer. This group forms part of Pro Mujer's City Center Village of Copacabana, and is made up of 8 group members and directed by a board of which Olga is the President.

This loan will help micro-business owners like Olga. Currently she has a business selling flowers. She learned this business on her own initiative several years ago.

The loan that she is requesting will be used to increase her capital by purchasing flowers in bulk. She will buy them from bulk sellers in La Paz and then she will resell them from her store. In this way she will be able to generate more income to support her family economically, since she lives with a life partner and cares for two children.

In this group: Olga Cristina , Adela Rosa , Ines Paola , Ximena Shirley , Alex Williams, Maria Dominga , Mery Miriam , Juana Fidelia
