Amigas Valientes Group's story

The communal bank "Amigas Valientes" will start the second cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the Los Andes regional office. The group has eight members and is run by a board of which Wilma is the president.

The loan they are applying for will benefit the small group of microentrepreneurs to which Wilma belongs. She currently runs a business selling blankets and says that she set up the business several years ago on her own initiative.

The loan she is currently applying for will be used to buy wholesale wool that she will buy from wholesalers in the city of La Paz. She will then make and sell her products from her retail space.

This form of work allows her to generate an income in order to financially support her family. She is single and has a child.
