Retamas De Apuwillki I Group's story

The Communal Bank “Retamas de Apuwillki I” is starting its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Copacabana Community Center. This group consists of eight members and is led by a Board of Directors in which Sra. Constancia serves as the president.

This loan will benefit small entrepreneurs such as Sra. Constancia. She currently has a business of selling cheese. Constancia has become knowledgeable about this business after learning the trade on her own several years ago.

The loan she is receiving now will be used to buy cattle that she will acquire from the wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz. Afterwards, she will be able to use the milk for making cheese to sell. Working in this manner enables her to generate income to support her family. Constancia is married and has four children.
