A loan of $5,375 helps a member to buy canned goods wholesale.

Amigas De Puerto Perez Group's story

The “Amigas de Puerto Perez” communal bank is starting their first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Copacabana branch office. It is made up of eight members, led by a board of directors with Vanesa as President.

The loan they are taking out will benefit all these micro-entrepreneurs, Vanesa being one. She currently has a neighborhood store. She says she learned the business on her own a number of years ago.

The loan she is now taking out will be to increase her working capital buying canned goods, wholesale. She will acquire them from the wholesalers in the city of La Paz and later sell in her commercial space. This manner of working allows her to generate resources to support her family economically as she is married and has two children.

In this group: Vanesa Gsbriela , Monica, Edwin, Zenobia Virginia, Rita , Loyola, Juana , Julian
