Mrs. Say N. is 38 years old and runs a small restaurant in Phnom Penh selling mostly pork rice, porridge, and some soft drinks. She can earn about $3/day in this business, and her husband earns $3/day working as a soldier. Together, the couple has 2 children, 1 of whom is a student and the other an infant still. She will use this loan to repair her kitchen and also to purchase some utensils for her restaurant. In the future, she hopes to save enough money from her restaurant business so that she can open a grocery store.
