A loan of $1,200 helps a member to purchase poultry feed and inputs for her horticultural products.

Microwave Group's story

Puwai is a 34-year-old a mother of three. Her husband is permanently employed at the ministry of agriculture. She is in the farming business and specializes in horticulture and poultry. Puwai and her fellow group members reside in a village near Goromonzi.

Janet and her friends make up the Microwave group and they have taken a loan from Thrive to help boost their business activities.

Her small efforts repeated day in and day out have helped her to realize her potential to grow in business, but a lack of adequate capital to finance her businesses has been hindering her growth. Janet and her fellow group members received training in marketing and financial record-keeping, which has helped them to retain more customers in their businesses. She is now confident that she is equipped with the adequate business knowledge to help her farming business to grow and prosper.

With a loan from Thrive, she hopes to expand her field for horticulture farming and increased the number of batches in poultry. She wants to purchase poultry feed and inputs for her horticultural products with the loan from Thrive.
