Akua is sixty years old. She is married and has given birth to five children: two daughters and three sons, who are all out of school. She works very hard to support her husband to provide for the family. She lives with her husband and some of her children in a rented apartment in Oda in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Akua is a trader, running a palm oil production business. She procures the palm fruits from nearby communities and supplies to retailers in her community. She has been in business for three years and wants a loan to buy palm fruits in bulk to expand her business.
