Opoku is forty-eight years old. He is married and has six children, four sons and two daughters, who are all still in school. He works very hard to be able to provide for the family. He lives with his wife and children in a rented apartment in Oda in the Eastern region of Ghana. Opoku is a trader. He trades in foodstuffs such as cassava, plantain, maize, etc. He sells in his community and also supplies other food vendors. Opoku procures the goods from nearby communities. He has been in business for seventeen years and wants a loan to buy food items in bulk to expand his business.
