Yawa A. is married and the mother of three children. When her husband retired, they found it hard to provide for them. She decided therefore in 2008 to open a mini-restaurant in which she sells fufu (pounded yam tuber) served with mutton and beef sauce. She has many guests among the working people in the Wéssomé neighborhood in Lomé. Yawa applies to WAGES for a loan to stock up with meat. She will buy 2 sheep and 20 kilograms of beef.
