She doesn’t incur any extra transportation costs for buying her merchandise, because she buys from suppliers who get charcoal from surrounding villages. Donah works seven days a week and sells to an average of twenty customers a day, from all categories of people. She has been in this business for five years. Her major monthly expenses include rent for her business and residence plus medication.
Donah has been with MCDT for two years servicing her fourth loan, and working with the same group mates. She wants to use this loan to buy more sacks of charcoal. She has hopes of seeing her business grow bigger and eventually owning a permanent business location and home.
