A loan of $1,375 helped to buy mineral fertilizers to work into the soil and pay laborers for their work on Rano's farm.


Rano's story

Rano is 43 years old and lives with her husband and two children in a remote village. She was born into a family of farmers and for the past ten years has cultivated a three-hectare plot of land. She farms with her husband and her children who help them.

Rano has sown cucumbers, onions, maize and watermelon. She has applied for a 12,000 TJS loan through Kiva's field partner IMON, which she will use to buy mineral fertilizers to work into the soil and pay laborers for their work. She hopes to get a rich harvest next season.

This will be Rano’s first loan. She awaits your support and mercy.
