A loan of $400 helped to purchase a surveillance system for his house.

Khalid's story

Khalid is a 51 year-old married man who lives with his wife and four children in Aden city, Yemen.

Khalid works as a teacher in a public school and receives a monthly salary. Due to the current conflict, the security situation has deteriorated very much. A lot of illegal activity occurs in the country and the formal authorities are not able to recognize the criminals. Khalid is very afraid for his house and family. He has decided to install a surveillance system for his house. Since his income is hardly sufficient to cover the basic expenses of his family, he has decided to apply for a 100,000 YER loan from Al-Amal Microfinance Bank.

Khalid is looking forward to purchasing a minibus and working on it to improve the living conditions of his family.

This loan is special because:

It supports people living in war-torn Yemen.
