A loan of $400 helps to buy sugar, confectioneries and detergents to restock her shop.

Victoria Muthio's story

Victoria is a hardworking businesswoman. She has been a shopkeeper for a long time, and what she delights in most is serving people. She sells foods and general household goods, and her customers like her personal service.

To build up her income, Victoria has applied for a 40,000 KES loan through Kiva's field partner Kenya ECLOF to buy sugar, confectioneries and detergents to sell. She will use a portion of her profits to pay off her loan in a short period of time. Her dream is to grow her business.

This loan is special because:

It gives financial access to low income micro-entrepreneurs.
