A loan of $350 helped to buy supplies for his farming business.

Felipe De Jesús's story

Felipe and his wife have two young children, both in school. He also has a 20-year old daughter from a previous relationship.

Felipe has a farming business. He grows maize and beans and tells us that he learned farming from his father. He decided on farming because he couldn't find other employment and looked to farming as a way to ensure that he would always be able to feed his family. He works mornings and depends on his wife for help.

Felipe used a previous Kiva loan to support his business and is applying for a new loan that he will use to buy supplies for his next crop. When we asked what he most wants for the future, he told us that he hopes for a good yield.
