A loan of $1,500 helped to buy basic goods to stock her store.

Amélida's story

Amélida is 39 years old. She had to leave school in order to support herself and cover her household's basic needs, as she is also a single mother.

Amélida has a small store where she sells candy, basic grains, drinks, and other products. Before she had the business, she used to sell traditional plates of food such as meat-filled pastries and tamales.

She greatly needs the help of this loan to buy basic goods to stock her store. She has been supported by three prior Kiva loans, and has repayed them all on time.

Her dreams are that her business keep prospering and that her children become professionals.
