A loan of $700 helped to buy three calves to raise, which he can make a profit on when he sells.

Raúl Antonio's story

Raul is forty-three years old. He could only attend school until the first grade. He is married and his wife sells tamales. He has two children that live at home.

Raul has made a living selling bread by bicycle since he was ten years old. He learned the trade with his friends. He also cultivates corn and sorghum and takes care of cattle. In order to sell bread, he has to travel through the entire community. A son helps him with the farm work. He gets up at 5:00 am to start his daily tasks.

Raul is asking for a loan to buy three calves to raise, which he can make a profit on when he sells.

He wants to buy a plot of land and build his house since where he lives now doesn’t belong to him.
