A loan of $575 helps to buy agricultural products.

Jean Bernard's story

Jean Bernard is 55 years old, married, and the father of five children between the ages of 5 and 23. He is a farmer and has had a cacao plantation in a nearby town for years. His cacao field allows him to meet his family’s needs. It is time to treat the fields and, as in other years, Jean Bernard is confronted with the same problem—a lack of cash to buy these products in time to improve his crop yield. He also wants to avoid the moneylenders who often take a large part of his harvest. That is why he is seeking this loan. It will allow him to buy maintenance products for his plantation. The sales of these crops will allow him to better meet his family’s needs and also to expand his field.
