A loan of $775 helps to buy maintenance products for a cacao plantation.

Roger Noel's story

Roger is 41 years old and the father of five children varying in age between 7 and 18. After finishing school, he decided to dedicate himself to the cacao field he inherited from his father. Thanks to this field he is able to support his family. Therefore, he puts all his energy into maintaining it. Roger dreams of a better crop yield; to achieve this, he will need maintenance products to avoid insects and plant disease, and he will also need to be able to clear the field. That is why he is seeking this loan. With the proceeds, he will be able to buy fungicides and other maintenance products. He will also avoid the moneylenders who often take a good portion of his crop. The money brought in from Roger’s sales will allow him to expand his plantation, pay for his children’s school expenses, and meet his family’s needs.
