A loan of $300 helped to buy one bag of urea and 60 sachets of Ridomil (fungicide).

Robert's story

Robert is a 57-year-old man who is married and father to five children, whose ages range from 13 to 28 years old; four of the children go to school. Robert is a farmer and lives in a local village with his family and younger brother.

As well as growing cocoa, he also grows beans, corn and cassava. His cocoa plantation covers four hectares and has been in operation for the past 15 years. He would like to improve his production this year, as his field is his main and permanent activity. In order to do this, he needs to use fungicides in good time so that his plantation is not devastated by insects or affected by bad weather conditions.

This loan will enable him to buy 60 sachets of Ridomil and other inputs, so that he can hope for a better production. The income from his sales will allow him to build a new house and also buy a motorcycle for him to get around. Our customer's major concern is to be able to expand his activity and improve his family's living conditions.
