A loan of $3,725 helped a member to buy pesticides for her cashew crops.

Senghong's Group's story

Senghong is 47 years and a mother of five children. She lives in the Keo Seima district of Mondulkiri. She and her husband make a living through planting cassava and cashews, which they have been doing for 10 years. The drop of cassava’s price at the market has been the main challenge for her.

This is the fourth loan for Senghong with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. She is leading a group of five people to seek another loan. Senghong will use her portion to buy pesticides for her cashew crops. She hopes to produce more crops to sell for a good price and improve her family’s living situation.

In this group: Senghong, Kry Thvan, Savet, Thea, Khouch
