Edith was born around 1977 in Porto-Novo, the administrative and political capital of the Republic of Benin. She is married to Amorin, a motorbike mechanic by training and a seller of radio receivers. Edith and Amorin have one son, who attends school. She attended school, but she stopped in primary school. Together with her husband, she is meeting family expenses.

Sauce condiments are what she sells, as well as baggies for packaging, as her secondary business. She buys her goods in Dantokpa, the international grand marketplace of Bénin. She sells the condiments out of her house; the baggies are sold door-to-door. She has been in these two businesses for six years.

Edith is on her fourth loan with ALIDé and has always repaid her loans. Her businesses are more or less improving. Yet it’s true she experiences a loss in sales from time to time. She wishes to benefit from financial support from ALIDé in order to expand her businesses and to diversify them by selling school supplies.
