A loan of $500 helped to buy farming inputs.

Agnes's story

Agnes is a 44-year-old farmer from a village in the Nakuru area of Kenya. She started farming nine years ago on a small plot of land she acquired. Agnes has dairy cows and a small garden on her farm.

Agnes is seeking a 50000 KES loan, which she will use to pay for farm inputs and hired labor in order to grow more crops. It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm business.

With your help, Agnes will be able to settle the high cost of farm inputs necessary for expansion. A significant portion of the profits will be reinvested in the business to fuel growth as sets a good foundation for her children.

She hopes to be able to progress as a female smallholder farmer and have a more stable income. Your loan will help empower this rural small holder woman and keep that captivating smile alive.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
