Yoert's story

Living in a wooden house located in the Srey Snom district of Siem Reap province, Yoert is now 35 years old and married. She has three children. Yoert and her husband are farmers who grow rice as their main business to support the family, and they supplement the family’s income by working for others for a fee. Having been in the business for 17 years, they are able to make daily earnings of 19,000 KHR and manage to save about 6,000 KHR each day.

This is the fifth loan for Yoert with Kiva’s partner VisionFund. Now applying for a new loan, she is going to buy a proper motorbike for her family's use for commuting. She hopes to this loan will allow to easily travel to work in a timely manner.
