A loan of $375 helped to buy inputs and pay for labor to clear the fields.

Albert's story

Albert is a 53 year old married man and the father of five children aged between 4 and 19 years old. Four of his children still go to school. He has been farming in a local village for 25 years. He has a cocoa field that allows him to support his family's needs.

The money lenders often take a good part of his production from him. So he is requesting a loan to allow him to not only pay for the products to maintain his plantation but also pay for labor to help him clear his fields. The money obtained from his sales will be reinvested in part in his plantation to expand it and the other part will allow him to support his family's needs.
