Sopheak's Group's story

A married mother of three children (two of whom are in school), Sopheak lives with her beloved family in Baray district, Kampong Thom province. She grows rice and operates a small grocery store in front of her house for income. These have been the main sources of her family’s income for the past few years. To overcome hardship, her husband also helps to provide financial support by working as a paid worker. Since Sopheak's crop was threatened by insects and drought, she could not earn as much income as before.

This will be her third loan cycle with VisionFund. She intends to use her loan to cover her farming expenses such as buying seeds and fertilizer. These items will help her increase the productivity of her crop yields. She hopes this loan will help her to grow her crop successfully and return her more income.
