A loan of $2,000 helped to make necessary maintenance to his house to prevent winter leakage, buy a water tank, a sink, and a hot water dispenser.

Rami's story

Rami is a 36-year-old married father of two children. He is a Palestinian refugee who lives with his small family in a Palestinian refugee camp.

In 2000, Rami started working in the construction business, specializing in the painting sector to cover his family's increasing living needs and expenses.

Currently, Rami is acquiring his fifth loan cycle from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua, to make necessary maintenance to his house to prevent winter leakage, buy a water tank, a sink, and a hot water dispenser.

Through his previously acquired loan, he paid for necessary car maintenance expenses, which are necessary for his business development, and he proved to be a good standing borrower.

He hopes that in the future, he can continue to stay capable of expanding his business in a well managed way, and support his family members.

This loan is special because:
