Benkadi Group's story

Brema raises cattle. He is 41 years old, married and has 11 children ranging from two to 21 years of age, eight of whom are in school. His wives help him a lot with the livestock; they also work as vendors. Brema is a very energetic and determined person as concerns his business. He really likes his work. It is he who holds the bull’s cord and smiles in the photo. Brema is illiterate, but in fact he cares about the schooling of his children.

He likes raising cattle because this business brings him significant revenues. He stocks up at the local market. After his expenses, he can earn up to 50,000 francs (FCFA) as monthly revenue.

Brema has reached out to RMCR in order to have more funds for expanding his cattle business. He has been doing this work for over 10 years. His revenues allow him to take care of family expenses, such as food, medications, clothing and school expenses for his children. In the future Brema would like to build [houses] on his plots in Segou, Koutiala and in his community for his children.
